> WORKS in food containers

FEATURES OF SISTEMA KLIP-IT CONTAINERS>> Absolute sealing - achieved by "O-rings">> Easy opening/closing. You don't have to close or open containers. Simply put the lid on and close the "latch" or open the latch and remove the lid. >> The sides of most are almost vertical, not sloping. So you cannot stack the shelves inside each other. But that also means that no space is wasted. >> Conveniently, store them with the lids closed. But it also means you don't have to search for lids. Containers of the same size stack well on top of each other and containers of the same size stack well on top. >> The top adds another 3/8 inch of usable space so you can fill containers "to the brim". "WARNING>> Although Sistema containers are nominally "dishwasher safe", any plastic can be damaged by the heating coils in your dishwasher. I found out about this because my current Bosch dishwasher does not have a "drying cycle , metal pots and ceramic dishes dry from the heat they absorb from the dishwater. The plastic doesn't dry out at all, but it also stays intact, compared to my Frigidaire dishwasher which regularly damaged my plastic containers. Several other reviewers report that the " Dishwasher "system" lids warp and the blue locking latches become brittle and break. So if you want your "system" containers to last, either hand wash them or turn the dishwasher's "dry cycle" off ( or Choose a cycle that is "air dry." You'll also save a lot of electricity ($$$). >> Although Sistema containers are nominal but safe to use ung in the microwave, any plastic can be damaged by overheating, especially the top parts which can warp. While you can CAREFULLY reheat cold food in the Sistema container in the microwave: ALWAYS remove the lid first. DO NOT attempt to cook anything in the Sistema container. >> Although Sistema containers are nominally freezer safe, they become very brittle in a "cold freezer". Don't drop them and let them warm up a bit before trying to open them. The INSIDE DIMENSIONS of the 101 ounce container I purchased are 8 1/2 inches wide, 6 inches deep, and 4 inches high. ---top same as "67.6 oz container" >> 67.6 oz rectangular: 8 1/2" wide, 6" deep, 2 1/2" tall --- top same as "101 oz container" >> 15.2 oz sandwich boxes: 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 1" --- above same as "lunch container" 40 oz.">> 40 oz lunch box: 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" high --- same top as sandwich box USAGE > I have 4 x 101 oz containers, 2 x 67 .6 ounce containers and 6 sandwich containers. Together this makes up a "Group Picnic Set". 101-Oz is a great bread box. I use them for bread and chips. >> 67.6 ounces is a great cookie box. I use them for potato salad and kale. >> 15.2 ounces is great for sandwiches. I use them for slicing cheese and lunch meats > Click Stoney just below the product name to see my other reviews or leave a comment to ask a question.
