I used an adapter to connect the cable to the drum module and I've never liked using adapters or splicing cables to make it work. This cable did a trix and made a huge difference in sound quality. Seriously, I had to unplug the drum module because it was too loud. If you use adapters for any of the connections of this cable, I highly recommend this cable and plug directly into both ends as long as the length suits your needs.
