Our son recently sent us Baleaf UPF 50 shirts that he found in Florida. I looked here at Revain and found these Coolibar bandanas. I've had several Moh procedures for basal cell carcinoma and thought they might be helpful. Now I have two of these Coolibar bandanas. One stays in my camera bag and the other is used here while working in the garden. I put it on my head and then put my hat on. The bandana is big enough to hide the side rays of the sun under the wide brim of the hat, protecting part of my face and all of my neck. The material is synthetic and doesn't absorb sweat as well as a cotton bandana. But if it helps me avoid further surgeries, I'll sweat it. I recently read that sunscreens and ointments have their own properties. If I can use fabric for UV protection, I will.
