Review on Canon EOS 7D Mark II Digital SLR Camera: Unveiling the Ultimate Body-Only Experience by Zia Hoon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

In general, I really liked the model, I took exactly the crop for an existing lens, if necessary, in time I can switch to ff by simply buying the necessary lens, but so far I don’t see the need for such a matrix. If it is possible to take for the price that is indicated here at the time of publication of the review (60), then I definitely advise, but not for beginners. For beginners, the model is overly advanced, with a bunch of unnecessary settings for them, it will be just right for professionals. I would attach photos to the review, but I am not writing a review at home, and in the photographs the camera looks smaller than it really is (I personally thought so). Depending on the lens and flash, the weight can vary from one kilogram to as many kilograms as you like. This should also be taken into account if the camera is taken for frequent trips or travel.

Pros
  • Great device. Bought in a bundle of 40% photo / 60% video (wouldn't have needed a photo, a video camera would have been bought). Excellent dimensions, sits perfectly in the hand, when I first picked it up, I stopped understanding how I used the tiny 500D, 1200D, 200D and Nikon D5200 before. Pleasant to the touch matte outer coating. The autofocus in the photo is gorgeous, there are all the necessary connectors (disclaimer: USB is not micro, but the same as on portable hard drives, but if you have the appropriate cable, it’s not a drawback), the joystick is separate from the ring, though it’s not clear why they pushed the lever under the joystick ( toggles autofocus modes). A good bright display, about the battery, let me disagree with a large number of commentators: the battery holds well, both in the photo and in the video, if you shoot a lot, it makes sense to purchase an additional battery (the original from Canon costs 5000), enough for several hours of work . Moisture and dust protection is declared, I did not specifically check it, but it transfers from one end of the city to the other without a cover in the rain without problems. I write video at 25 frames per second and on manual focus, so I won’t say anything about autofocus on video, video is written without problems on a class 10 card, there is a manual adjustment of the sound level. Many in the reviews complain about the lack of WiFi, but you should look into the box and find a WiFi adapter there, and the instructions also say about it. I do not use it. There is GPS, but it works for a long time, it is likely due to my location. When changing the battery, the battery compartment does not rest against the tripod pad (really).
Cons
  • Minor. The second card could also be SD, the size of the photos (in pixels) is much smaller than that of the newbie 1200D (where exactly 6000 pixels are horizontal), on my glass (Sigma 18-250 DC) every third photo with a miss in focus, but here , it seems that the matter is in the lens itself, after two months of use, the ring under the joystick began to click strangely, after a few weeks the phenomenon went away, but I still have the feeling that some kind of foreign particle could get there, and then naturally come out of there . Videos can be recorded with different compression, only the picture looks the same when compared with Sony or Panasonic photos, the video is soapy, of course, there is no problem for me, but I am writing for those who choose a camera specifically for video: look at the tests and decide for yourself. And one more thing: PRICE. I took it six months ago for 100,000, I go to the market and see a price of 60, which is very upsetting, of course, although technology tends to get cheaper over time.
