Good for kids - Canteens

This was quite an amazing find as it's 2020 and my 6 year old son loves to play Pitfall which is a 40 year old game with almost no merchandise. And he needed a canteen for camping trips. Searching the canteens he was excited to find this. First, this is not a "proper" dining room. While it stands up to scrutiny, it's basically a decorative novelty that will look great on a shelf. They say it's fun for the kids too. The dining area itself is all plastic (don't know if it's BPA free) with a printed fabric that looks nice. Looks like a few other cheap restaurants for sale here. It's small but holds enough water for baby and won't leak. Since there is no insulation, the water stays warm for an hour. You can't put ice cubes in a small hole, although I filled it halfway and froze it overnight. He sweats and the fabric cover is constantly wet, which is not a problem on hot days. The strap is short, barely enough for 6 years. Suitable as a necklace for an adult. But we got a few comments from other hikers who saw the name so it's interesting for my son.

Pros
  • Canteens
Cons
  • It's OK
