Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Enhanced 3D Analog Replacement Joystick Caps for Nintendo Switch Joycon Controller | [New Version] | Full Repair Tool Set Included | 2 Pack by Jeffery Pricinoc

Terrible replacement. It's not worth it even though it's cheap.

Bought to replace sticks in a Joy Cons with drift problem. First off, it's one of the cheapest options I've been able to find, which I think makes it a steal if you don't mind that they're inferior in almost every way. Now for problems. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the rubber on the sticks is shinier than the standard Nintendo stick, giving it a different look and feeling a bit slippery when in use. Also, they have different sensations; They have a soft feel, not as quick or springy as Nintendo parts. Then, after the tedious process of taking apart my joy cons to replace sticks, the joystick never centers when calibrated. This has been mentioned in several other reviews. Most games have a center dead zone, so this probably won't affect gameplay, but will generally indicate a quality difference between this and the original Nintendo part. Haven't used them in a long time so can't comment on how they'll hold up over the long term, but other quality issues I'm not very optimistic about their durability. Update: After using them a bit, I figured out the analog. Joysticks work _very_ differently than original Nintendo joysticks. They have dead zones in 4 main directions that make him snap in those directions. That means you don't actually have 360-degree typing accuracy. About 15 degrees of input up, down, left, and right simply snaps in those directions. For me, this renders them completely unusable and means I have to re-open the Joy-Cons and pop in some alternate replacements, which is quite a tedious and time-consuming process. Trying to save a few bucks on buying the cheapest one cost me a few more hours of work replacing these sticks.
