First of all I have to say that the overall design of this product is pleasant. It's a very difficult mode and it does what it's supposed to. But I'm giving it three stars based on a feature that sets it apart from many other models - the tension/locking controls present in each joint. Unlike many other models that either do not have a cocking/locking mechanism or require some form of screwdriver or hex wrench to tighten the mount, this product has easy-to-reach cocking/locking controls on each joint. It's a nice feature in concept, but lacks a bit in execution. No matter how I tighten the regulator, there is still slight play in the hinge. This is partly due to the way the proprietary washer fits over each joint. The tightening controls just don't seem to be putting enough pressure on the connection. This could be supplemented with additional washers but the installation leaves a lot to be desired as delivered. But aside from that, if you only need it for a wall mount and you don't mind the device not locking completely, then this will work fine for you. However, if you're in an environment where you really need the mount to stay where you put it, this might not work as well as it sounds.
