Works better than the original mesh strap. I was allergic to the original mesh strap and the material it's made of. A little research on the internet showed that allergic reactions to metal compounds used in watches and jewelry are not uncommon. I just had to find an alternative or my Skagen would have to be thrown away. This shift group worked well. Several months have passed since the purchase, I wear the watch every day, there are no longer any signs of an allergic reaction.
