These shelves are good. The wood is mostly unfinished so it looks like it needs to be varnished, stained or treated with clear polyurethane (or varnish). Assembly was easy. There were a few issues: 1) 1 extra "K" screw but 1 "J" screw is missing, 2 other "J" screws have defective Phillips making them unusable. They look like pretty generic 1.25" screws, so I'll just grab a few from the hardware/home center. 2) The groove/groove into which the grating is inserted is not deep enough. Again simple solution. 3) Finally, the "F” piece is secured with just one screw on each side (top one end, bottom the other) so it can pivot away from the frame. Part "G" has the same attachment method, but because it's only 2 rows high, not 3, it doesn't move. If I screw the "extra" part "K" to the side with the screw, it should prevent the "F" part from moving. If all the correct parts were included and not defective, these shelves would be a good buy. Anyway, I still have to put about $5 in them to look like the photos on the listing. With that in mind, it's only marginally better than creating them from scratch.
