Review on Optimal Growth Formula: Royal Canin Dry Food for Young Kittens by Lisa Zimmerman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Expensive but worth it

Expensive but worth it for kittens transitioning from milk to solid food. The parts are smaller than competing brands so you don't have to grind them to fit a cat's mouth. And I haven't had a kitten that doesn't like the taste. This is what we recommend with love and care to all of our adoptive mothers in our cat rescue campaign, and last year we rescued over 600 kittens, most of which were orphaned or rescued from feral colonies! We usually live on donations and it can be anything from cheap to expensive, but for 3-6 week old kittens I buy Royal Canin myself to ensure the kittens get off to a good start (and to save myself the trouble of dry Frisky by a grinder to crush the pieces). Thank you Royal Canin for helping save 100 little kittens every year!
