I saved some money but I don't think it was worth it.
I usually buy a boat brush with yellow bristles mounted on a wooden board. This time to save a few bucks I bought this brush at half price and it wasn't worth it. The bristles are thin and I would expect their lifespan to be half that of a wooden board brush based on how it feels during use. So in the end I really didn't save anything. Mounting to the metal post was easy and there are two ways to mount it, either using a pole with a male thread on the end or using a regular aluminum boat brush mounting tube that you provided and installed yourself.
