tl;dr: If you don't need a camera for color matching, these are great light bars. Easy to set up. WiFi is excellent. grab her I received a Govee RGBIC strip last year and am very happy with it. They used better connectors than the other band I just returned and the Govee Home app was customizable and never bothered me with notifications. I'm very glad I got them because I prefer using Wi-Fi over Bluetooth for this type of device. Sometimes the bluetooth lightbulb won't connect and needs to be restarted but I've never had a single issue with the Govee Wi-Fi lights, they connect instantly and I've been using them elsewhere in my house for over a year . 5 minutes to install it, and that's just because I took my time. You remove and glue the two brackets, place the light panels on top, connect the panels to the control box with an indestructible USB-C cable, and then connect the power supply. If you don't want to move it, you'll probably never have to worry about it again. They are very bright so I would recommend adjusting the brightness before deciding how to install them. If you want 1% or 100% brightness, they should probably be shifted a bit. The only thing I'd like to see is a USB-C port on one or both lights so they can be conveniently placed a little further away. separately if necessary. The cable is long enough for most applications but too short to reach the corners of a room. I knew they were attached when I bought it, but would have happily paid a little more for the option. Maybe the next version?
