My elderly cat is showing some signs of severe anxiety. She hid all day, licking tufts of wool off her legs and belly. This thing definitely doesn't smell like salmon (or any other fish) and according to my cat, doesn't taste like it either. She goes straight to the water bowl, licks it and drinks LOTS of water. We both want it to be suspicious. But it works. She is more sociable, can lie in bed with my other two cats (at a safe distance) and doesn't lick as much. She even played a little. I used to play multiple times a day. It is much easier to use than Laxatone. Very gentle soft cream. I apply just over an inch of cream on my index finger and then smear it with my thumb to make sure it stays on her leg and she can't just shake it off. I just have to catch her when she's distracted and run my finger over her. it's on her paw. Although she doesn't like the taste (it takes her a while to get rid of everything because she licks it little by little), it works really well. I started mixing it in her wet food and making sure she gets a spoonful twice a day (her food smells strongly of seafood) and she doesn't seem to notice. It doesn't work as well as a full dose at once, but it's better than nothing and on her bad days I put a whole patch on her paw. I'm very, very lucky to have something that really puts her at ease, gives her a better quality of life back and that she wants to spend time with me again, be near me and headbutt me again. >•.•< I will take her to the vet but it is a real gift for her and me.
