It has a chemical odor that is difficult to get rid of.

We use LOTS of paper towels at home. We send them on a Revain subscribe and keep case. I was excited to try them to reduce cost and waste. However, we immediately noticed a slight chemical smell, rather unpleasant. It stuck for a while - even on our hands. Having no idea what they are we stopped using them indoors and turned them into "garage" towels for the car, lawn work, etc. I would throw them away.
