Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. I've worn Skecher Barrons for a number of years and they can be worn every day. But I tried to walk more (10,000 steps a day) so I decided to buy these highly rated Walk Max shoes based on the description, do not buy them The shoe is a 2-2.5 inch platform with a foam sole "You may be thinking, isn't it perfect for hiking? Unfortunately, there isn't one. This completely dampens the feel of the pavement and your foot muscles can't absorb the forces that occur. The higher and thicker sole also means you're more on your heel than on the Landing midfoot. Finally, the padded upper does not provide any support and stability whatsoever, allowing the ankles to rotate effectively. After two days of wearing I really regret this purchase. Overall, this is a very poor design tough shoe for anything but casual walking. Unfortunately I can't even return it after wearing it twice.
