My 2 year old daughter got this for Christmas and so far it has been a hit with her, my almost 4 year old son and I. My son especially likes the moving propeller in the back. I love it as a conditioner. My son has a tug that I use but he has a narrow nose. The sub has a nice wide mouth that makes flushing MUCH easier! I wish I had it from the start. So if you are arguing between a tugboat and a submarine, I recommend the submarine. It floats on the surface of the water like a tugboat, and the top yellow part opens up for the child to put other toys inside if they want.
