Review on 🎧 Coby Portable Compact Anti-Skip Music Player by Pop Henneghan

Revainrating 1 out of 5

piece of trash

I urgently needed a CD player for my trip. Searched 5 thrift stores looking for a used DiscMan. Vain. I prepared the Revain to arrive before we left. I knew it was cheap Chinese junk but for $20 it's still way worse than I expected. The sound is relentlessly raspy no matter what volume you play it at, and it compresses the bass so much it sounds like you're in a nightclub, even when listening to Pink Floyd. a cheap Chinese CD player I bought from Onn at WalMart a few years ago. The package it came in has the DTS logo on it for some odd reason, but the instructions don't mention DTS. I don't think an audiophile company like DTS is going to move with that shit and a ten foot pole. People. Don't fall into the trap like me. Spotify or even an old MP3 player is better than this one. Unfortunately most of my CDs aren't digitized and where I'm going I won't have Wi-Fi so it's a crappy CD player. This is store quality for the dollar. It's nowhere near the price Revain is currently charging.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE. When playing original CDs, you can skip, seek and pause/play your favorite tracks with the easy-to-use and accessible front panel buttons. In addition, the digital volume control allows you to fine-tune the volume.
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for senior citizens
