Review on πŸ’† Pantene Pro-V Blends, 17.9 fl oz, Sulfate Free Conditioner with Activated Charcoal by Iris Swatson

The product is stupid BUT.

Tl, dr: In theory, this product is a bad idea (charcoal absorbs, making shampoo/conditioner effective) and contains almost no activated charcoal. Luckily it's just stupid, not bad. For those of you who don't know, the idea behind charcoal (other than grilling) is to gobble up things you don't need. In the context of hair care, these seem to be things like "toxins" and "free radicals." (None of these affect the hair, since the hair is dead.) It takes a lot to work, as many kids who get stomachaches in developed countries will remember. It works on a mass basis. So this product has two questions. First, how much coal is there? Second, what will it absorb from the shampoo/conditioner? Answer 1: not really. It's ingredient #13 of 16. Which means, drum roll, it's not enough to make hell out of it. Answer 2: a range of organic molecules needed for air conditioning. EXACTLY what charcoal absorbs. Luckily, charcoal isn't enough to absorb everything. So if you don't like the color of the bottle, which I have to admit is aesthetically pleasing, stick with your regular Pantene product.
