So I bought this microphone because of the accessories. I'm starting a new podcast and all the condenser mics I own are about 6 inches from the table so my guest tends to lean into the mic which is awkward for an hour or two long shows, let alone anyone Every time someone hangs a glass or a coffee mug, it sounds like Godzilla is attacking the studio. I started evaluating all the components and came across the ZingYou BM 800. It had everything I wanted plus a new microphone to boot from. I scoured YouTube looking for reviews and found that some people liked it and the price is such that I wouldn't be offended if it was an epic flop. The box arrived looking very intimidating, but it's actually quite simple and easy to assemble. The table mount is a C-clamp that you place on the table that has a scissor arm inserted into it and a shock absorber bolted to the other end. Once you've found a home for the pop filter and plugged your mic into your mic, you're good to go. All components, except for the sound card, are well assembled. The microphone connects via a 3.5mm XLR connector. It can be plugged directly into your computer's microphone port, or if you don't have a separate microphone input (like a laptop) you'll need to use the included sound card. This was the only downside of the device. I get feedback every time I use a sound card. I can move the mic away from my laptop and that helps, but you still hear a slight buzz. The sound quality of the recording is good, it sounds a bit wide and has some echo, but not overpowering. I had to adjust the compression and normalization settings way beyond what I use for my other mics to keep the sound from being distorted. All in all, this is a good budget condenser microphone. The anchor that holds it is well made and the only issue I had was with the sound card. All in all I think it was definitely a good buy.
