The filling is not soft and comfortable

I washed the product according to the instructions before use and the blanket came out of the dryer lumpy and not soft. My daughter loves it and I'm debating whether or not to send her back. The filling used in the duvet is not a normal soft material, but foam rubber that forms lumps in certain places.
