Previous Aftershokz owner who didn't want to spend another $150-170 on a spare pair. Hoping these $30 bone conduction headphones will last. I understand that the latest version of Aftershokz is better than the first. And the elements that need improvement are the volume and maybe the flexibility. ran 10 miles where people ran in groups and talked. And I couldn't hear my podcast as I ran by because there was noise outside. The music got a little better. As for flexibility. Aftershokz didn't let you wear a hat or headgear because the back "strap" was sticking out too much (this also made it difficult to lay on your back and use them as that strap is pressed against your head and the real headphones would then be on your cheeks so eventually something broke in them and they started to rattle : so I bought these $30 Pros: They are much more flexible (don't know yet) I can lie on my back and still use them as they are softer and more flexible and stay in my ears, they are larger than Aftershokz (for those with big heads) and still feel freer, they don't move and stay in place on the first pass I stayed with them.) Good enough for me Cons: They have no bone conduction at all They're more like little speakers It works for me and I really appreciate it until my husband is on the couch next to me I think he hears everything too :-/. The little piece of rubber that fits into the charging port when you need to use it again is a little hard to get back. a kind of wobble. I would just take it off if it weren't for the fear of moisture getting in. The keys are quite small, so this might be an issue if you have big fingers. Day (so far so good with compromises) Attention: there is no travel case, just a very simple box.
