I think this a great kit! I am only a beginner myself, but this comes with everything I need. The final put together picture does include the few threads and needles that I purchased prior to this kit.The few things I noticed is that a few threads seem to be very similar in color, but I think there is a wide enough range that it doesn’t bother me. I think this kit offers an equal range of each color. I noticed that other kits sometimes have a larger section of reds or greens. I do enjoy the metallic threads as well. The quality of threads seem equal to those are Jo-Ann’s. The needles are slightly more dull than the ones I got at Jo-Ann’s, but I’m not sure it would really make a difference to beginners. The scissors that are included are sharp.For what it would take to get all of this at your local store, this is an amazing value and gives a great starting point. I will be updating after my first project with it.
