This arrived for my son and it fits ALL his school supplies, winter pants, folders, shoes, spare clothes, lunch box, water bottles, hats and gloves. no problem. The material is good quality, the straps look strong. I've only given these areas a 4 because I haven't had a bag long enough to really guarantee it's a 5 star. I don't foresee breakage but I could see the bottom fraying from being pulled which would have been nice to have a leather bottom but for the price LONGER this is the best backpack my son has had.
