I bought this for use in a car dashboard to monitor car voltage in real time. It works great, updating several times per second according to fluctuations in the car's electrical system. I can turn on the headlights, air conditioning, etc. and see how much power each of them is putting into the system. Unfortunately during installation I used thin needle nose pliers to turn the tiny calibration knob on the back. This knob is there to be able to adjust the accuracy of the device I believe. But the metal of the pliers touched a piece of metal on the bare back of the meter and it shorted out! :( My fault. Just make sure you adjust it when no power is connected, or adjust with plastic pliers if available. The screen is nice and bright. Bottom line, it saved me from draining my batteries regularly to drain because my car wasn't charging efficiently I can control the use of internal components and engine speed to ensure the voltage never drops below a certain level for too long.
