Review on ๐Ÿงฝ KleenKover Reverse Temporary Carpet Protection by Chad Judex

Revainrating 5 out of 5

KleenKover needs to read these reviews.

I was skeptical based on other reviews but apparently the product has been improved. The two biggest complaints from other reviewers were: it requires two people to install, and it sticks to itself like crazy, creating a lot of waste. I bought a roll anyway and found that those complaints were *unfounded*. I SIMPLY installed it myself with very little loss. Of course I'm not overweight and I can walk up and down without any problems, but in general I haven't had any problems. I made a 12x12 space in about an hour. Here's a setup tip: Pull out the material about 30cm and position it on the floor where you want it. It can be moved, so don't be frustrated if it doesn't go where you want it on the first try. When it is in the correct position, step on it and/or press down with some weight. You can then stand up and walk backwards, allowing him to turn around as he walks. It comes off with about the same force as the packing tape. Makes a terrible noise, but it's sticky! When you reach the end of your run, CAREFULLY lower it to the ground while maintaining slight tension to minimize wrinkles and bubbles (where it overlaps with the previous run). Again, it can be rearranged, so don't worry. You can pick it up and use it again. The trick is to keep your runs in the 8-10 foot range. If you plan on using this in the same room over and over again (e.g. to keep small children or pets away) don't forget the room, you'll probably have to move out all the furniture first. And DO NOT try to use a hardwood floor vacuum kit for this. The rotating brush STILL picks up the plastic! Use a broom or sponge to clean!

Pros
  • Tear-resistant, durable material
Cons
  • Expensive
