Review on π½ AMRAM Sticker Remover Protective: Advanced Peeling Solution by Brett Jarvis
They work reasonably well
For removing stickers of all kinds from books and other goods. However, you will need to have some Goo Gone or Goof Off on hand as the glue will build up on the blade and will need to be scraped off. Nail polish remover might also work. This tool isn't as "modern" as the ones I used at a bookstore years ago, but for the price it couldn't be better.
