I was ready to return it because the booming bass was overwhelming. It was like tying a subwoofer to each ear. Then, dumbass, I notice it had a little button to turn off the bass boom. Pressed once. It still packs a good amount of bass punch - more than you'd expect. But actually this thing sounds like a set of expensive speakers with solid bass. The high notes are really good, and generally I find them really good once I turn the sound off. I'm giving four stars because the bass setting is just too high and might hurt your ears. This is a great feature and if they scaled it back it would be great if needed. You look great. I have the red ones, they look expensive, fit comfortably and aren't too heavy. Another reason I get four stars is that unfortunately they don't come with a case or case. Phones are being made cheaper, and I wish they would. If you want five stars you have to send me a case. I tried them with my iPhones. iPad and TV. They are good for everyone. If they came with a case I would buy a second set for video work where I need to work on location. While they don't do any noise reduction (in videos you want unaltered audio and NC stands for processed audio), they do a good job of blocking out sound with pads. I recommend them.
