Review on πŸ“Έ Westcott 2006 45-Inch Soft Silver Umbrella: Enhanced Lighting Solution for Professional Photography by Andrew Schobinger

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Costs 2-3 times as much

Since there are only two reviews for this umbrella at the moment, I agree. Firstly, I can't believe this umbrella is so cheap! Second, the struts and struts are fiberglass, which is great because I've had umbrellas with metal struts that will bend and break just by looking weird. Third, the umbrella stem appears to be quite durable. Again, other umbrellas look like they've been chewed up by a Rottweiler after a few uses, but this one still holds on. so I don't have to use the stupid plastic grommet that came with the kit.) However, that stupid plastic grommet is also of decent quality. I've been using it for over a year and it still looks brand new. Another reviewer mentioned that his light got about 400K warmer. I don't know if it was conjecture or if they ran a test on their raw files, but I did a test. Mine heats the light up to 150K. That's pretty damn tolerable for a $20 umbrella.
