I used to use a molded mouth guard to make grinding easier. The ones you boil in water and then stick on your teeth. We have a new dog, and when these guards fall out of my mouth (which they inevitably do once a week or so), he chews them. So I went through a pair of mouth guards for $30 a month. I was fed up so I bought them. They work very well as I don't wake up when my teeth chatter because it bothers them. What they don't do is keep my jaw in the right position so I don't have to exercise as much. As a result, they don't relieve my jaw pain like others do, but they do help protect my teeth. I also feel like they're overpackaged and inherently wasteful because you can only use them for one night if you don't want to put yesterday's dry saliva back in your mouth. They have these little hollow tubes and I don't think saliva could be spat out of them for you to reuse. Product. If, like me, for some reason you can't keep vigil for more than a week or two, it works!
