Took a while to install this on my 2011 BMW 328i. The shape is exactly the same as the original, so it fits, but is very loose. If you place it much like the original, the camera gets a very weird angle, all you can see is the ground. So I had to use super glue to slant it. The tail light on my car doesn't provide 12VDC after starting the engine, so I actually had to use the red wires (two short ones pulled from the video jack) as the power wire from the head unit harness to the trunk. Just plug the power plug with the short red wire into the huge socket on the head unit at one end. Connect the short red wire on the other end to the red wire coming from the camera. The camera ground wire can still be connected to the rear light ground wire. And you know the rest.
