Pros: - Leaves my thick, coarse, wiry beard clean and ready to style - The packaging claims it's sulfate free and the product doesn't lather, or in a way that belies its claims Strong odor Less Than Desirable : - The initial smell upon application is less than what I would call "spicy" in the sweet-spicy sense that most expect. Instead, the smell reminds me more of castor oil or a medicinal scent. It's not bad, just not what I expected. Overall, it gets the job done and leaves a thicker, "tougher" beard, fresh and clean. The smell is not strong and seems to wash out. It has no real downsides and wish it had a sweeter, spicy scent that lingers.
