Good product but may not suit your system (please read)

This seemed like the perfect solution for my dual monitor setup and need for articulation but unfortunately it wasn't and I think , there is no information on how the dimensions of this mount will affect your workspace if your desk is against a wall and has a normal desk depth. First, let's talk about the product itself. - Quick and easy installation, installed on a stud and was durable. Materials look good, some of the plastic lids feel cheap but overall are pretty solid. The hydraulic arms have a screw to adjust the tension according to the weight of your monitor. getting me where I needed it (I mean 15-20 full turns), making the process longer and seemingly uncomfortable than necessary. The fit and range of motion was pretty solid, the issues I had with the motion is that it's not fluid and smooth, you have to play around with it to get it where you want it. For the price ($60) it's generally good. Ease of use, here I did not find this product for me and I had to return it. If your desk is against a wall and you want to use monitors side by side instead of separately like in the picture, this is important for you. I wanted to use this mount for my two monitors and have them side by side, alternating both in landscape mode and rotating to portrait mode when needed. The problem is that if you want your monitors to be side by side, close the bracket and appear like they are "floating", you need your monitors to be about 11" from the wall (this uses 27". -Monitors, if your monitors are smaller, it gets bigger, and if they're bigger, it gets a little smaller). at their highest point, and even then, the closest I could get them to a wall was about 7 inches from the wall. Obviously the placement of your monitor arm and the depth (thickness) of your monitor will affect the overall distance from the wall. The measured distance was from the wall to the back of my monitors. For my use in my home office it didn't make much sense to have the monitors on this mount as they looked aesthetically terrible with this huge gap behind them and the monitors cluttering the desk. Place. y was also a problem as the monitors were now almost over my keyboard and too close to my face. Raising my arms and placing the monitors closer to the wall also didn't have the aesthetics I liked and they were now too big for comfortable use (I even lowered the mount as low as possible, which is basically right above my desk to accommodate the height). height and I'm 6'3 too) Hope this helps!
