Review on StarTech.com Dual Monitor KVM Docking Station - for Two Laptops - 4K - File Transfer - Universal USB Laptop Dock (USB3DDOCKFT) by Jhonathan Bagwell

I loved this device, it's the only KVM+ docking station I could find with DisplayLink that I need for my computer. I installed it immediately and. Nothing. The dock itself had no issues powering, connecting, and powering other devices, but it WILL NOT connect to my laptop no matter what. After seven hours of self-troubleshooting and chatting with StarTech tech support (thankfully available 24/7 via chat) the unit was found to be defective AND I was told it was discontinued so most likely I won't be getting one Substitute. I decided to put everything back together and get a universal dock and deal with manually switching from one machine to another. Very disappointed and wasted a whole day. On the plus side, StarTech tech support was very efficient, very clear with their instructions, listened to me and believed in the troubleshooting I had already done (I deal with a lot of people who treat me like an idiot when contacting them makes a big difference for me because it's another waste of time when I have to explain 37 times that I've already completed the troubleshooting list in front of them). Overall, I cannot recommend this product, but I am very happy with the company's response to the issue.
