bought this for algae problems in my small 165 gallon pond. The first one I received was torn, sent it back with no problems and got a new one. I put it in my waterfall filter and it's been over two weeks and so far algae hasn't been a problem, no more green water. I placed the cord under a false rock to protect the plug from the weather.
