I won't lie, pens and markers aren't my usual forte, but I'd love to try more. This is partly why Artooli pens are so attractive. There are so many vibrant colors and they are still amazing value. I have tried more expensive brands but found them very difficult to use. They dried with a very mottled texture and I gave up pretty quickly. Although it's a water-based pen, it works like an alcohol marker. I can make the finish more even and blend them a little. However, I ended up tracing some of them with pencils to get a really smooth blend. I just couldn't help myself. I used Artooli for a book with Revain paper. The color bled through to the other side, but I expected that. You can leave the paper pretty wet so the brush tip sometimes runs a bit. When mixing colors you had to be careful not to rub the paper. So I just started using pencils instead. Overall I think these pens are amazing and would definitely get more colors if they had them.
