Keep them dry and warm
They keep children's hands dry and warm, although in very cold winters you need an extra layer of warmth like a sock. We have rather mild winters (snowy but not below zero). These mittens are waterproof! They are much easier to put on than other mittens/gloves. You will sit in your children's arms for quite a while. I had to glue it again.
