I was looking for a good elastic to fit my 38 inch drop. I looked around and found that I love the colors of this brand. I've seen the sizes cover quite a wide range - the large belt says it fits "waist 36 37 38 39 40". I was disappointed to find this; yes it would fit me but after the buckle there would be very little left. I'm not sure about yours, but when I put the strap through the buckle, I like that there's 5-6 inches of strap left so it doesn't seem like I'm crammed into the "too small" strap . I believe the strap will actually fit as described but be aware that if you are on the higher end of the scale there is not much left after the buckle. Then I bought the size XL and found it too big. This is a good quality belt, but the company needs to be more accurate than its competitors when it comes to sizing. I have since bought an elastic belt from another brand and it fits perfectly (note that they offer a belt that only covers the waist size on the belt - for example 40-42).
