Review on 🐑 Melissa & Doug Pop Blocs Farm Animals - Educational Baby Toy with 10 Linkable Pieces by Greg Muin

Worth the money in terms of cleanliness

Compared to the much cheaper plastic animals we bought from the big department store, these animals are much better. CHEAP ANIMALS: Cheap animals are very soft and have small holes in the snout that allow air in and out when the child squeezes them. So when a child bites an animal, its saliva is sucked into the small holes. I squeezed her and saw her saliva come out. The cleaning is troublesome because you need to make sure the vinegar water get on the animals, splash around, and then come out of the animals completely, and then you need to make sure they are dry. Who has time?! MELISSA AND THE DOUGH ANIMALS: Each piece has a hole, but it is in a recess on the bottom (ie, the legs) of each piece. Thus, the child cannot put his mouth directly over the hole. Also, M&D animals don't pack much and therefore don't create suction that could suck in baby's saliva. M&D animals also have the added benefit of being able to break apart and come back together. The child figured out how to do it at 13 months and he loves it. I only wish they made a jungle animal set too.
