First time mother and newborn approved! Hundreds Spent on Huggies We used Alvababy cloth diapers and pads at home during the day for 3 months (our newborn was 8lbs 21in). They are soft, absorbent, flexible and do not irritate/rub stomach or legs. No diaper rash or discomfort - they grow with baby thanks to the adjustment knobs. EASY TO KEEP CLEAN AND STAIN-FREE: Liners are placed over sinks and can be quickly hand washed once soiled. Contaminated liners and shells are stored in separate wet bags during the day. Each night the liners go through a sanitization cycle in the washing machine and every 2 days the covers go through the usual cycle in a laundry bag to protect the buttons - we always use a complimentary clear detergent. Medium temperature dry cycle. No stains/fading/damage to stitching and seams. We have 2 sets of 6 liners with 24 3-ply liners plus 6 5-ply bamboo liners (never out of line!): A child uses about 12 liners and 3 liners a day. ****Update after about a year of daily use. It still works amazing! The colors did not fade, only in one case there was a small leak due to a paper diaper tear. These diapers are worth the investment! I bought two more sets for the mom-to-be!
