The first one to arrive was shaky. They sent me a replacement because the first one got lost in the mail for a while. When the second one arrived the next morning, it didn't wobble, so I sent the first one back. However, at $43 it is very heavy. The seat itself looks like the foam should be pretty soft, but it's not. It's only 1/2 inch, 1 inch foam at the top so it's not very comfortable. Good for a footstool, but another stool I got from Homegoods probably had an extra 3 inches of foam, so much better. Even when I unpacked the first one, I got a headache a few hours later. I used my air quality meter and the formaldehyde levels warned me about poor air quality. Moved it to another room, turned my meter back on, opened the window and the air quality was back to normal. Did the same thing when I opened the replacement item; I read the readings before and right after and then a few hours later and the same thing. Air quality returned to normal after moving to another room. That's what I've come to expect from cheap Chinese goods these days, but not at such a high level that it has terrible air quality and gives me a headache. If you decide to buy it, you need to put it in an unused room for a few days to empty it first.
