Review on ASUS VG27AQ1A Gaming Monitor: Compatible DisplayPort, 2560x1440p, 170Hz, Swivel & Tilt Adjustment, Flicker-Free, Built-In Speakers by Roderick Carson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The quality is five stars but the rating is four stars.

I love this monitor, it's big, adjustable and has enough ports for what I need. The only reason I don't give it five stars is that switching inputs is a real hassle now, on my original ASUS monitor you just had to press a button and it would scroll through the inputs, but on this monitor you have to scroll down into settings and do it. No big deal, just annoying. Another reason I don't give it five stars is that there is ONE stuck pixel that appears every now and then after using the monitor for maybe a month. This is just one, not very big or very noticeable but once you spot it it's just a bug to deal with. But overall, this is by far my favorite monitor I've ever owned and I have no regrets. HDR and FPS are amazing for all games, PC and console. Be it PS5 or Xbox Series X (which I use on both my monitor and PC). I highly recommend this monitor, very good for the price and such a bargain. Luckily you can route the cable from the back, but if there are too many or too thick they won't fit. But you can wrap the cord around the back to hide all those pesky cords.

Pros
  • Reliable connectivity with HDMI (v2.0) x2, DisplayPort 1.2 connectors
Cons
  • The monitor's response time is too slow.
