Works as advertised. The problem with these types of mounts is that almost all mount the motion sensor directly onto the mount, eliminating perhaps 75% of the more useful applications. If I were to use this in a bookshelf for example I would like the light to detect movement in the SPACE and illuminate my books. Since the sensor is only mounted on the light surface, I have to reach the bookshelf before the light activates. The same goes for installation under stairwell railings, under bed rails, and dozens of other applications. Yes, you CAN install them so that the light is on the OUTSIDE of the bookshelf, but then it will blind you and be very unattractive for decoration. Ideally you want to use them for indirect lighting and not to look you in the eye, but in most cases of indirect mounting (under shelves and cabinets, near the floor) the sensor won't work as it's installed in the most inefficient spot. I know if any manufacturer bothers to read these reviews but whoever builds something like this with a sensor on the SIDE where it's really useful will get my business.
