I had one of these trimmers a few years ago but kind of lost it. Since then I have resorted to small cuticle scissors, but they are difficult to use and do not do the job. I was expecting to get an electric trimmer but seeing this and having used something similar in the past decided to buy this trimmer. Overall the trimmer works well and is easy to use and clean. The only problem with a manual trimmer is that you have to be careful not to "crush" each other. By that I mean don't try to move it until you press and release the button. If you don't, you may find yourself pulling your hair out instead of cutting it. Squeeze the handle, release it completely, and then move it to another spot. Do this and you will have no problems. Overall, I really like this trimmer and the fact that it is "standalone" (no need for cords or batteries). It's very small so I put one in my travel bag and the other in my first aid kit.
