Edit: After four or five days the bad smell was gone. Now it smells like normal plastic. I just don't know enough about plastic to figure out if it's ok anyway. Firstly I love Casio and love this design, EVEN at its small size it is clearly intended for a child. It's okay, and to be honest, I don't mind wearing children's watches. Why I can't give them a good rating is because the pink ribbon smells so bad. Smells like strong permanent marker. I've tried washing it a couple of times but it still smells really bad. I'm afraid to put it on my skin because I don't know what's in it. I tried to forget it, but the thought of wearing this industrial smelling material day and night bothered me too much. After I took it off in the morning, my skin smelled like a strap, like permanent marker. Casio must review the material used here and assure the customer that it is BPA-free and of a sufficiently high quality for permanent skin contact.
