This article was found in Lord Libidan's overview of useful cross stitch tools. Before that I used scissors in a crochet kit about 3-4 inches long. This worked well but was a little awkward getting the corners of the embroidery hoop. I found this to be a great TSA friendly alternative and thought it would come in handy if I had to reduce the size of my materials when cross stitching on the go. I love this handy little thing. It cuts great and it's sweet to boot! The only thing I need to remember when wearing a hat; definitely have to line it up with the cap to make sure it snaps into place and I don't want to dull it too much if I just put it back on. I like that it has a little loop to keep track of things. I use bobbins for my thread and I can easily thread my bobbins and scissors onto a binder ring and have my project materials in a simple ring.
