As other reviewers have mentioned, there was a strong chemical (vinyl) smell that faded in a few days. The body of the suitcase is beautiful and sturdy, protecting everything stored inside. The company has gone for a double zip which I prefer. Inside there is a small zippered pocket, in which a few small items such as pens or labels can be kept. The sheet of labels that comes with this case is too big to fit in the zippered part. (See photo) The main downside to the design is the fact that the body is rounded and has nothing to anchor the foam inside. There are two pieces of styrofoam - one for the larger bottles (the one that fits snugly enough in the bottom half of the sink) and the other for the smaller bottles that float freely. When I first opened the package there were empty bottles everywhere! The holes cut in the styrofoam body are not airtight enough to hold the bottles firmly in place, and the shape of the pouch causes the entire piece of styrofoam to flex (bounce up and down) inside the clam shell. The other has no assigned house; it just stood on top of each other - hence the bottles scattered everywhere. It wasn't until I realized there was a zip lining on the other side where I could put small bottles that I was able to prevent them from falling into the bag. (See photos) I have now wrapped the notebook in a padded envelope (until I managed to get a nice thick piece of foam rubber) and placed it between the two sides of the clam shell to keep everything in place. Doesn't look pretty, but at least my bottles don't fall out when I open the bag. You know what they say about necessity and fiction: it's the mother! LOL My last comment is about pens. I expected them to be articulated and free to move, but they are not; They're made out of hard, thick silicone or vinyl and I reckon they're likely to detach from the base with regular use. The time will show. All in all, with a little help securing existing foam trays, this could be a very good case.
