This is NOT a paid/tester/discount review, I bought these to replace a pair of racquets which were OEM and had been played so much that the necks were cut through. These replacements worked right out of the box - I'll say the base of the sticks was a bit cracked due to the packaging, but it didn't seem to affect serious gameplay. The tops of the racquets, the actual playing surface, are sticky and even after a few games they feel sticky like dry soda, indicating a solvent flare. I've been playing with the sticks for a few days now and they show no signs of being any less sticky. I'd say with quality tools and well made sticks this is still a good buy, I'll update if/when the stickiness goes away.
