Review on Genuine Dell 130W Laptop Charger AC Adapter 332-1829: Optimized Power Supply for Precision M3800, M2800, XPS 15 (9530, 9550), Inspiron 7347, 7348, 7459 - Dell Charger 130W AC Adapter+ by Udders Sharma

I bought this charger to replace the charger that failed on my wife's Dell XPS 9530. I also have a Dell XPS 9570 that uses the same charger. Bought from this seller because the description says it is a genuine Dell charger. When it arrived I immediately noticed that while part of the adapter looked OEM, there were scratches on the underside where no plastic coating was peeling off, leading me to question if it was authentic or if it was refurbished rather than refurbished had been. New. The cable that runs between the adapter and the outlet also didn't match Dell's original cable. I was disappointed, but I could live with it anyway. However, when I attempted to connect it to my laptop, the stem of the connector was only half-inserted. I compared it to the body of the original plug and there was a solid green substance in this new plug inside the cylinder. Whatever it was, the barrel didn't quite fit into the laptop. This was different than the interior of the original fork. Obviously something is fishy and of course it can't charge the laptop because it can't be fully plugged into the mains. Based on this experience I would avoid making this purchase from this seller.
