At first I was a bit surprised by the size of this glass. It appeared to be smaller than the suggested 18-ounce capacity. I've included a photo of him next to a 20 ounce glass. Although the Swell glass looks a little wider, it still looks a lot smaller at just two ounces short of capacity. I don't use it for hot drinks, but it has become my go-to glass for cold water throughout the day. I can fill it with ice-free chilled water and it stays refreshingly cold for 8-10 hours with ease. The cover is mixed. I like the drinking spout very much. It's the perfect size whether I want a small sip or a large one, and the lid is easy to open and close. The problem is that the lid is leaking. Despite what appears to be an airtight fit, liquid quickly leaks out the sides when the jar is upside down or level. This can make traveling with a full glass a bit dangerous, especially when filled with hot liquids. The lid also scratches easily. I've only been using the jar for a week and there are already a lot of visible scratches on the lid. The rubber seal can be removed from the lid for cleaning, but the lid cannot be further disassembled. The glass body compensates for the shortcomings of the lid. The matte surface is non-slip and easy to clean. It also does not form condensation and keeps a comfortable temperature even with ice water inside. As I said, the insulation keeps my water cold all day or night. I refill it and use it for all day water consumption instead of soiling new cups or glasses. It's nice to know that I can put down a glassful of cold water, and even if I come back a few hours later, the water is still refreshingly cold. Both body and lid are easy to clean. The body needs to be hand washed and the lid can be washed in the dishwasher. I wash all parts by hand, including the lid. With the lid looking like it's been hand washed, I hesitate to think about how it will look after a round in the dishwasher.
