I bought the first one for a Renault bathroom. A 6-way switch was installed in the dismantled walls. It may be used individually or together. We sold this house. We have now installed 2 more of these units in our new home. Luckily the shower stall already had a separate water supply for the hand held unit. Unfortunately, the overhead shower and hand shower worked at the same time without a built-in switch. This is a problem if you do NOT want your hair to get wet [shower caps are unreliable]. This problem. Now I can use the hand shower with or without a head shower. Some people notice that this device is made of plastic. For me this is a plus as it offers a lightweight device that remains fully functional in its quality. I also prefer the flat surface on the handle, which provides a firm grip when hands are wet and soapy. The 3 spray jets are also a good option with a handy thumb lever conveniently placed. I use a white vinegar bath when mineral deposits build up. I also use Blue Magic Lotion/Polish to prevent water stains. Otherwise, a clean microfiber cloth will suffice. If you don't have a second water line to your shower, try the Delta Shower Arm Diverter Handheld Shower Diverter for $12.24, then use the KES shut-off above on the handheld. I'm so excited to have these options without having to remodel another bathroom and spend a lot of money on these shower features.
